Should i break up with him in person, by a friend, or a text?

I absolutely hate my boyfriend and i want to break up with him because he is a jerk. All my friends agree with me and I want to break up with him in person because I have a policy where I break up with guys in person because I think all of the other ways are lame. My friends say I should dump him in a text message because that's how he asked me out. (in 2 text messages and 2 myspace messages) I don't know which way to do it.Should i break up with him in person, by a friend, or a text?

Breaking up with someone you've been with by friend or text is a cowards way out. Regardless of how you feel about him now, you owe it to him to tell him to his face that your feelings have changed and you want to end the relationship. When you tell him face to face he gets the message accurately and straight up.

If you have a friend do it, guaranteed it will be distorted.


You do know which way to do it because you've said in your question how you want to do it. He's YOUR boyfriend, not your friends so it it properly and then move on.
it would be better to break up with him in person because you gotta face him and maybe he will take it as a joke if you send a text besides he might have gotten his phone taken away and not receive the message i hope i could help Good Luck

Doing it over the internet or text is kindof embarassing. He might think that you're too much of a coward to say it to his face. Prove him wrong and drop him on his bum.

If you are worried about his reaction, have someone else 'around' (not directly involved though as that may make him even more angry) or do it in a semi-public place.
Do it in person. Asking a friend to do it, or doing it through text messages just makes it look like your scared to do it to his face.
I think you should dump him in a txt if that's the way he started it finish it that way...and if he's that much of a jerk it will hurt more doing it that way
Your friends are obviously not thinking about how they would feel if they were dumped by text message. Your conscious is obviously being pricked or you wouldn't be asking. Do the kind thing and let him down gently face to face. Good luck
Break up with him in person. Breaking up over the phone or by text shows the person you have no class and that you are a coward.
don't think about what way he adopted to ask u out.. u dump him your way.. and if u think text messaging him for a break up will make him understand how lame he has been..then u are wrong.. such guys lack self confidence and will never learn!
Dont stoop to his level,maintain your dignity and breakup with him in person.Texting seems like such a cheap way to end any relationship,even a bad one.He might not even think ure serious. Just because he's being a jerk doesnt mean you have to be one too.
