I just can not live with someone who says he wants to get married one minute and not the next. I also can not live under his thinking that women are servants to men. He actually has said during arguments about tasks to be done and I quote, ';what are women for then?'; I do everything for him up to translating for him. I love him but I think it is time I treat myself to someone who loves me enough not to use me.How can I break up with my bf of 3 yrs without totally crushing him?
It will be tough to break up with your bf of 3 years without crushing him pretty badly. 3 years is a long time to be in a relationship. However, based on your reasons for wanting to break up, I think you're making the right decision. It seems like you're pretty unhappy with the role your bf seems to give you in his life, and I don't blame you. Relationships are a 2 way street. It sounds to me like he's not treating you very nicely. You're not obligated in any way to be his servant. That's a pretty old school way of thinking. Also, it's not right for him to say he wants to get married one minute, and not the next. If you feel like you're being used, it's not a healthy relationship. So while breaking up will be difficult, I think you'll doing yourself a favor for the long term. Hope this helps! How can I break up with my bf of 3 yrs without totally crushing him?
