How to break up with him and still be friends?

ok so me and lets say his name is kevin have been friends ever since 6th grade.like brother and sister type.now we are in 7th grade.so kevin ask me out and i say yes.but our relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend is not as strong.he really don't talk to me or walk me to my bus.so how can i break up with him and we still be friends?ok so what if i said can we just be friends?and then the following week i start talking to him.like brother and sister type.How to break up with him and still be friends?
The EXACT thing happened to me, and this is what happened:


My friend told me my bf was gonna break up with me


I wanted to break up with him


This kid was getting in our way and saying things that wern't true


the kid said me and my bf were over and idk if my bf told him to say that to me


i said to the kid: ok i was gonna sya the same thing anyway


we sort of just drifted apart


but we r still friends


(except he still likes me)


if he still likes you, he will want to be friends


unless hes mad at u for breaking up with him


just make it unclear, then make sure on like IM or something that its over but u still want to be friends


make an effort to talk to him so he knows u rlly do wanna b friends :)How to break up with him and still be friends?
It's really, reallyyyy rough on the person being dumped if you tell them you only want to be friends, I know from experience. After you break up with him you should give him some time and space to feel better about himself. Try to talk to him and be friendly, but do not flirt AT ALL or else you will give him the wrong idea and that will cause a lot of problems later on. Even if he seems like he hates you and doesn't want to talk to you, or if he seems cold and uninterested, keep trying to be friendly. He's just hurt and wants to show you that he's not going to take your crap, but deep down I'm sure he'd rather be friends with you than not talk to you at all anymore. So keep being friendly after you dump him, NOT FLIRTY, be respectful and give him space, and don't take it personally if he isn't really friendly at first. Give him time to heal.
Well, it really depends on the guy but usually if you're sweet about it and he cares about you he'll definitely want to stay in touch.





I had a boyfriend for 6 months and when i could tell he made a good boyfriend but an awesome friend i told him that and how much he meant to me.


Now he's my best friend and its not weird at all.





Overall: explain yourself to him. From the look of your situation and your young age im sure he wont want to lose you as a friend :)
first give him a chance then if that doesn't work give him ';the speech'; you still want to be friends let him off easy GOOD LUCK :)
